Officially Announced: Hughes and VeloCloud Partner, Bringing Together Two Market Leaders to Deliver Managed SD-WAN to Distributed Enterprises
Well, the big news is finally out. We’ve been hinting at it for a while, but now it is official…Hughes has partnered with VMware to bring its VMware SD-WAN powered by VeloCloud platform into our Managed SD-WAN portfolio. Read the official announcement here.

Anytime you can add a clear market leader to your solution set is a bit positive, and VeloCloud consistently tops SD-WAN review lists. From a pure capabilities perspective, the addition of VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud to the HughesON portfolio gives enterprise customers a platform option that includes support for multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), cloud on-ramp services, architectural flexibility, and native ability for Voice over IP (VoIP) optimization on both wired and wireless broadband networks.
Further, VeloCloud can be deployed via a cloud-hosted, on premises, or hybrid model, providing greater flexibility to customers for both deployment and resource allocation options. Lastly, the VeloCloud cloud-hosted gateways provide a ubiquitous SD-WAN gateway infrastructure accessible by anyone, providing efficient network access to both the SD-WAN capabilities and cloud application on-ramps, including for global enterprises operating sites outside of North America.
From a market perspective, the addition of the VeloCloud platform creates the broadest portfolio of SD-WAN platforms available from any single service provider.
